The Directorate of Commercial Taxes, Government of West Bengal has extended the last date of filing return in Form-III under West Bengal State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1979 (“Act”) and Rules for the year ending 31st of March 2024.
The last date of filing return in Form-III in electronic and paper form has been extended as follows –

Employers registered under the Act are permitted to electronically transmit data of the return by 31st May 2024 and furnish paper form of such return by 15th June 2024.
Background: The Government of West Bengal, by way of a Notification dated 26th April, 2024 extended the last date filing return in Form-III under the Act till 15th May, 2024 (in electronic form) and till 30th May, 2024 (in physical/paper form).
