Police Commissioner of Greater Mumbai notifies additional restrictions in view of the emergence of Omicron variant of COVID-19; effective till 15.01.2022

With a view to prevent the spread of Covid-19 Omicron virus, the Police Commissioner of Greater Mumbai has notified Covid-19 restrictions which are valid till 15th January, 2022.
Some of the restrictions are as follows:
• Persons are prohibited from visiting beaches, open grounds, sea faces, promenades, gardens, parks and similar public places from 5 PM till 5 AM the next day;
• In case of marriages, whether in enclosed spaces or open spaces, the maximum number of attendees are restricted to 50 persons;
• In case of social / political / religious gatherings the maximum number of attendees should be 50 persons;
• In case of last rites, the maximum number of attendees allowed are 20 persons;
The guidelines notified under order dated 24th December, 2021 shall continue to be in force until further Orders are issued. The following measures should be taken into consideration :
• There is a ban on the assembly of group of five or more people from 9 PM to 6 AM throughout the State in all public places.
• Restaurants , Gyms, Spas, Cinema Halls / Theatres will continue to operate with 50 % capacity.
