Rajasthan Pollution Control Board notifies fresh procedure for processing applications for Consent to Establish / Consent to Operate, owing to delay in timely disposal of applications

The Rajasthan Pollution Control Board (“Board”) has notified guidelines to be followed by the Regional Offices / Head Offices owing to delays in timely disposal of the Consent / Authorization application received by them.

Key Highlights:
• All the Regional Offices / Head Office are directed to transfer any consent / authorization application received by them within 7 days of receipt to the appropriate Regional / Head Office, in case the concerned application is not related to their respective jurisdiction.
• All the GICs and Regional Offices have also been directed to nominate a Nodal Officer in order to monitor the compliances of the same on a daily basis.

Background:

It had been observed that prior to the issuance of this order the Regional / Head Offices used to keep transferring the consent or authorization applications received by them from one office to another owning to delay in the disposal of Consent / Authorization application for several months.
