Tamil Nadu Government doubles the contribution that employer’s and employee’s make yearly to the Labour Welfare Fund

The Tamil Nadu, Labour Department through an Amendment dated 2nd December, 2022 has revised the rate of contribution towards Labour Welfare Fund. Basis the amendment that has gained effect from 02-12-2022 every employee must contribute a sum of Rs.20 (previously Rs.10) per year to the fund and every employer must, in respect of each such employee, contribute a sum of Rs. 40 (previously Rs.20) per year to the Labour Welfare Fund.
