Telangana Govt. extends the Public Utility Service status granted to Motor Transport Industry for a further period of six months; effective since 23rd February 2022
The Government of Telangana has declared the services of the industry engaged in Motor Transport as a ‘Public Utility Service Unit’ for a further period of six months, with effect since the 23rd of February, 2022 i.e. till 23rd August, 2022.
Background:
Through an earlier Notification, the Telangana Govt. had declared the Motor Transport Industry in the State as a Public Utility Service, for the purpose of Industrial Dispute Act, 1947, for a period of six months starting from 23rd August, 2021; which has now expired.
