Maharashtra Govt. notifies Covid-19 guidelines to be followed till further Orders are notified; private offices, establishments and industrial activities allowed to function with 100% capacity and fully vaccinated staff
In view of the current Covid-19 scenario and basis inputs from the Health department as well as the COVID taskforce, the Government of Maharashtra has imposed the following directives in supersession of all earlier Orders issued, with immediate effect till further Orders are notified.
Key Highlights:
1. All staff engaged in any private / public office or establishment, industrial establishment, home delivery service is required to be fully vaccinated;
2. All private and government offices, industrial and scientific institutions shall operate with 100% capacity;
3. There shall be no restrictions on inter-State and intra-State movement for fully vaccinated persons. However, for individuals who are not fully vaccinated, inter-State movement shall be allowed on production of negative RT-PCR report which is not older than 72 hours and there shall be no requirement of NOC for travel unless required by the DDMA;
4. All shopping complexes, cinema halls, restaurants, bars, etc. shall be allowed to operate with 100% capacity in Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, Pune, Bhandara, Sindhudurg, Nagpur, Raigad, Wardha, Ratnagiri, Satara, Sangli, Gondia, Chandrapur, Kohlapur and 50% capacity for all other districts;
5. Social, Cultural, Sports, Religious, Political, etc. gatherings shall be allowed with 50% strength in the above-mentioned districts and with 50% strength or 200 persons whichever is lower for the other districts. However, for the above-mentioned districts, if the gathering is expected to be of more than 1000 persons, the DDMA must be informed and the same may impose restrictions accordingly;
[Note: Municipal Corporations shall be dealt as separate administrative units and all other districts shall be considered as a single separate administrative unit. Also, an administrative unit, where the rate of first dose vaccination is more than 90%, second dose vaccination is more than 70%, the positivity rate is less than 10% and the Bed Occupancy of Oxygen Supported or ICU beds is less than 40% will fall under List A (refer attached Order). Currently, the districts falling under List A are Mumbai (City and Suburban), Pune, Bhandara, Sindhudurg, Nagpur, Raigad, Wardha, Ratnagiri, Satara, Sangli, Gondia, Chandrapur and Kolhapur. However, please note that the DDMA may make additions and alterations in the list from time to time basis the status of the above-mentioned parameters].
6. Home delivery services shall be allowed for all administrative units;
7. In all academic institutions, offline classes may resume. However, hybrid model of conducting classes in both online and offline mode shall be encouraged and Covid Appropriate Behaviour shall be strictly followed in such institutions;
[Note: Covid Appropriate Behaviour shall include wearing of masks, using of sanitizers, maintenance of social distancing and such directives issued by the DDMAs, SDMAs and the Government of India].
This Order is in supersession of all earlier Orders imposing Covid-19 restrictions / relaxations and the DDMAs shall be authorized to imposed further restriction subject to prior consent from the SDMA. Further, the DDMA is required to meet frequently (at least once a week) to review the situation and take actions accordingly.
In addition to this, the Districts shall ensure 100% vaccination coverage and arrange door-to-door vaccination drives in districts which are not falling under List A. The guidelines laid down by the Government of India and other concerned authorities shall also be strictly followed.
