Spending of funds for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign i.e. mass scale production and supply of the National Flag ,outreach and related efforts qualifies as eligible CSR activity

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (“MCA”) has recently clarified that spending of CSR Funds for activities related to “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign which includes mass scale production and supply of the National Flag, outreach and amplification efforts and other related activities, qualifies as eligible CSR activities under item no.(ii) of the Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 pertaining to promoting education relating to culture.

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav aimed to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
