DoT launches Digital Intelligence Platform to prevent misuse of telecom resources in cyber-crime and financial frauds

The Department of Telecommunication (DoT) has launched the Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP) for coordination among stakeholders to prevent misuse of telecom resources in cyber-crime and financial frauds. The stakeholders such as Telecom Service Providers (TSPs), banks and financial institutions (FIs), social media platforms, identity document issuing authorities etc. can use the platform for real time intelligence sharing, information exchange and coordination. The portal contains information which are detected as misuse of telecom resources and works as backend repository for citizen-initiated requests on Sanchar Saathi portal for actions by stakeholders.
