Last date for public consultation on the Digital Data Protection Bill, 2022 extended till 2nd January, 2023
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has extended the last date for receipt of comments and feedback from the public on the Digital Data Protection Bill, 2022 (please refer to e-mail in trail for a detailed read) till 2nd January, 2023.
The feedback may be submitted in a chapter wise manner on Digital Data Protection – Innovate India (mygov.in) by 2nd January, 2023.
Background:
The Digital Data Protection Bill, 2022 was published by MeitY on 18th November, 2022 and feedback was invited from the public till 17th December, 2022. The extension in timeline has been granted in view of requests received from several stakeholders.
