In continuation of the Update reported earlier (please refer to e-mail in trail), the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (“CERC”) has recently issued a Notification extending the period of applicability of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Tariff determination from Renewable Energy Sources) Regulations, 2020 (“CERC Regulations”) till 30^th June, 2024.

Background:

The CERC previously, through Notification no. RA-14026(11) / 4 / 2020-CERC dated 27^th March, 2023 and Notification no. RA-14026(11) / 4 / 2020-CERC dated 6^th September, 2023 had extended the timeline for applicability of the CERC Regulations to 30^th September, 2023 and 31^st March, 2024 respectively.
