Public comments invited on draft Maharashtra Factories (Amendment) Rules, 2025 by 18th April, 2025; proposes safety precautions for use of certain reactors

The Industries, Energy, Labour and Mining Department of Maharashtra has issued a draft notification, proposing amendments to the Maharashtra Factories Rules, 1963. The amendment proposes safety precautions that are to be adhered for reactors* in which exothermic chemical reactions* are carried out. This is applicable to factories which use such reactors for their operations.

Stakeholders may submit their objections or suggestions (if any) by 18th April, 2025 to the by the Director, Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, Kamgar Bhavan, 5th Foor, Block-E, C-20, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (E), Mumbai 400051.
