In a Circular dated 1^st January, 2020, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (“MCA”) has informed that the time limit for filing e-form No. BEN 2 (Form dealing with return to the Registrar in respect of declaration under section 90) has been extended upto 31^st March, 2020 without payment of additional fee.

Please note that consequent to such extension the date of filing Form BEN – 1 should be construed accordingly.

Background:

As reported earlier, in a Notification dated 24^th September, 2019 the time limit of filing e- form BEN 2 without additional fee was extended upto 31^st December, 2019.

Now, in light of various representations received by MCA for extending the said timeline, the date of filing e form BEN 2 (Form dealing with return to the Registrar in respect of declaration under section 90) has been extended to 31^st March, 2020.
