The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (“FSSAI”) has issued a letter dated 24th September, 2020, stating the following:
“All such licensees who have license for production of Blended Edible Vegetable Oil with Mustard Oil may have stocks of mustard oil / mustard seeds or any other edible oil used for blending which they may need to sell as unblended oils. They may apply for the modification of their FSSAI licenses which will need to be processed and approved by the concerned Designated Officers expeditiously.”
Such applications shall be processed and approved within three days from the date of submission.
