In light of the night curfew imposed in Maharashtra (detailed in the trail mail), the Pune Municipal Corporation on December 22, 2020 has issued a notification with the following preventive measures to be taken to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the State under the order Mission Begins Again.
1. No person within the limits of Pune Municipal Corporation will be allowed to go out of the house from 11.00 pm to 6.00 am between 22nd December, 2020 to 5th January, 2021 except for essential reasons / services
2. Sick persons, pregnant women, children under 10 years of age, over 65 years of age, should avoid stepping out.
3. Providers of essentials (milk, vegetables, fruits etc.), office individuals and their vehicles are excluded from this order.
4. According to this order, the officers / employees appointed to maintain law and order as well as all the officers / employees and vehicles working for COVID 19 prevention measures in Pune Municipal Corporation as well as government and service vehicles are being excluded from this order.
5. Vehicles carrying essential commodities are exempted from night curfew.
6. All the employees working for night shifts have to maintain the law and order.
7. Government service vehicles are excluded from this order.
8. Vehicles carrying newspapers and distributing staff are excluded from this order.
9. Individuals travelling to the airport are excluded from the order.
Violation of the Order will attract penalties under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
