The Department of Power, Government of Goa has in a notification dated 11th January 2021 extended the validity of the “One Time Settlement Scheme, 2020” (Scheme) up to 31st January, 2021 under Electricity Department for defaulting consumers of electricity charges having accumulated arrears up to 10-10-2020 for Temporarily Disconnected, Permanently Disconnected and Revenue Recovery cases consumers in order to enable prompt recovery of such outstanding.
The Government of Goa has also granted 50% relief on the outstanding amount of the old Permanently Disconnected consumers as on 10-10-2020, where the segregation of principal amount and Delayed Payment Charges (DPC) are not available in the records of the Department and entire amount has been treated as principal amount in the Scheme.
