Delhi Labour Department mandates Internal Complaint Committee formation and She Box Portal registration for employers

The Labour Department of Delhi has issued an Order reiterating the mandatory requirement for employers with 10 or more employees to constitute an Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) under Section 4 of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (“Act”). The Order references the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s judgment in the matter of W.P. (C) No. 1224/2017, Aureliano Fernandes v. The State of Goa & Ors, which directed the effective implementation of various provisions under the Act.

Further, employers have been intimated about the institution of ‘She Box Portal’, an online platform for complaint registration under the Act. Employers in both public and private sectors are directed to register on this portal.

A copy of the Notification is attached herewith for ease of reference.
