The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (“BBMP”) has issued a public notice regarding the renewal process for Trade Licenses applicable for the year 2025-26. The notification delineates key procedural requirements for traders operating within BBMP’s jurisdiction.

- Trade licenses may now be renewed for a period ranging from one to five years (‘April to March’), based on the trader’s preference;
- The renewal fee will be based on the number of financial years selected by the trader;
- Payment options include online transactions or remittance through bank challan at Canara Bank;
- Renewal timelines and penalty structure:

- 1st February 2025 – 28th February 2025: Renewal without penalty.
- 1st March 2025 – 31st March 2025: Renewal with a 25% penalty on the prescribed fee.
- From 1st April 2025 onwards: Renewal with a 100% penalty on the prescribed fee.
- The renewal application must be submitted exclusively through online mode.
