In line with the implementation of e-governance, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (“CDSCO”) receives various applications for the registration and import of cosmetics, including post-approval changes. With a view to streamline this process, CDSCO has introduced an online provision for the application and issuance of permissions for additional variants of already approved cosmetic products through the SUGAM portal.
The module for additional variant will be implemented from 22nd February, 2025. All cosmetic manufacturers and importers must submit applications for additional variants exclusively through the SUGAM portal post-implementation.
