The Ministry of Textiles had through an order dated March 9, 2018, issued directions for compulsory packaging of foodgrains and sugar in jute packaging material for supply or distribution of the same. The order had originally been for the period of March 9, 2018 to June 30, 2018.
In a subsequent order dated June 26, 2018 this date had been extended till September 30, 2018.
Now, by way of yet another amendment order dated September 27, 2018 this date has been extended till October 31, 2018 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Hence, the order for compulsory packaging of foodgrains and sugar will now subsist till the newly extended date i.e. October 31, 2018 or until further orders are issued in this regard.
