DGFT discontinues submission of hard copies of application to RA for issue of Advance Authorisation and EPCG Scheme

Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a Policy Circular 23/2015-2020 dated 15th May, 2019 to inform that exporters who are filing online Advance Authorisation(AA) and EPCG application will no longer be required to submit hard copy of the said application and its related documents to the concerned Regional Authority (RA) with effect from 20th day of May, 2019.

Presently, all the exporters filing online AA or EPCG application are required to submit hard copy of the said application and its supporting documents as prescribed in ANF-4A to the Regional Authority (RA) as the facility to upload documents is not available online. In order to remove the time lag between online application and receipt of hard copy in DGFT Regional Authority now an ‘upload document’ facility has been created by NIC to upload supporting documents in the AA and EPCG ECOM modules.

Further, exporters, who has been issued Advance Authorisation under self-declaration authorisations Scheme where SION does not exist, shall also be required to send two sets of complete application (along with pdf copy of AA, Appendix 4E, production/consumption data and other relevant documents) directly to the FTDO of the concerned Norms committee in the office of DGFT for ratification/fixation of norms.
