This is a quick update to let you know that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (“MCA”) has in a circular dated July 29, 2019, informed that the last date for filing e-Form BEN 2 (Return to the Registrar in respect of declaration under Section 90) has been extended till September 30, 2019.
The MCA had earlier in a notification dated September 6, 2018, informed that the due date for filing e-Form BEN 2 would be 30 days from the date of deployment of the form on the MCA 21 portal. Subsequently, the form was deployed on July 1, 2019 on the MCA 21 portal.
Now, in view of representations received by the MCA, the MCA has extended the timeline for filing the e-Form BEN 2 till September 30, 2019. Accordingly, no additional fee shall be charged for filings made within the said date.
