Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (“FSSAI”) had earlier proposed to amend the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations, 2011 to include provisions relating to “processing aids”
In a recent Notification dated 13th October 2020, FSSAI has notified the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Ninth Amendment Regulations, 2020.
These regulations have gained effect immediately. Food Business Operators have to comply to the Amendment by 1st July, 2021.
