FSSAI adds spice mixtures including oleoresins or extracts / derivatives in items intended to enhance aroma

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has in a notification dated 12th November, 2018 amended the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives), Regulations 2011 and rolled out the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Tenth Amendment Regulations, 2018.

Through the amendment, the paragraph where description of items intended to enhance the aroma and taste of food is given, along with herbs, spices including masalas, spice mixtures including oleoresins or extracts/ derivatives have been added.
