The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (“FSSAI”) has in a Notification dated 29th June, 2019, cautioned the public and all stakeholders against products manufactured by the Konsar Future Nutrition Inc. (Canada based Company), which are imported to India as well, due to the possibility of a serious risk to public health.
FSSAI has received this Notification from the International Food Safety Authorities Network (“INFOSAN”) regarding a warning in Canada concerning all products manufactured by Konsar Future Nutrition Inc. Some of the products manufactured by the Konsar Future Nutrition Inc., under various brand names, are imported to India as well. Therefore, this information is being brought to the notice of the public and all stakeholders so that any inadvertent consumption of the implicated products can be avoided.
As per the information received by the FSSAI, the products may be labelled as ‘Manufactured by Konsar Future Nutrition Inc.” and sold under various brand names. An incomprehensive list of brand names have been shared by FSSAI as follows:
