The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (“FSSAI”) has, by an Order dated 21st August, 2018, extended the timeline for using non-detachable stickers with respect to FSSAI’s organic logo as per the Food Safety and Standards (Organic Foods) Regulations, 2017 (“Regulations”).
The timeline for using such non-detachable stickers has been extended from 30th September, 2018 to 31st December, 2018.
FSSAI has also informed that relaxation will be given to the import consignments, claimed as organic food items, which has been exported before 31st August, 2018, from complying with the requirements of the Regulations.
