The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has through a Notification dated 21st August 2020, rolled out the Draft Food Safety and Standards (Contaminants, Toxins and Residues) Amendment Regulations, 2020, thereby, proposing to amend the provisions related to the Crop contaminants and naturally occurring toxic substances covered under Regulation 2.2 and Residues covered under Regulation 2.3 of the Food Safety and Standards (Contaminants, toxins and Residues) Regulations, 2011.
The Notification also invites objections/suggestions which may be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, Food and Drug Administration Bhawan, Kotla Road, New Delhi- 110002 or sent on email at regulation@fssai.gov.in. by 20th October 2020.
