Gujarat Govt. notifies guidelines to implement Unlock 5 in the State; lockdown extended in Containment Zones till 31st October, 2020; B2B Exhibitions allowed from 15th October, 2020

The Government of Gujarat has issued guidelines for implementing Unlock 5 guidelines in the State, in consonance with the MHA Order dated 30th September, 2020.

The lockdown stands extended in Containment Zones till 31st October, 2020 while prohibited activities will be re-started in a phase-wise manner.

The following activities will be opened in all areas outside Containment Zones:
1. Business to Business Exhibitions:
Business to Business Exhibitions will be permitted from 15th October, 2020. Instructions in this regard will be issued by the State Government on the basis of SOPs issued by the Department of Commerce, Government of India;

2. State / Private bus service:
State / Private buses have been permitted with 75% capacity;

3. Metro rail services:
Metro rail services are permitted to operate in accordance with the SOPs issued by the Govt. of India;

4. Auto Rickshaws:
Autorickshaws have been permitted to operate with 1 driver and 2 passengers. However, all persons need to wear face cover;

5. Cabs, taxis and aggregators:
Cabs, taxis and aggregators are permitted to operate with 1 driver and 3 other persons. However, if the seating capacity is for 6 or more persons, 4 persons will be allowed at a time along with the driver; subject to wearing masks;

6. Private Vehicles for family use:
Private Vehicles for family usage are permitted to operate with 1 driver and 3 other persons. However, all persons need to wear face mask.

7. Two wheelers:
Two wheelers are permitted to operate with 2 persons subject to them wearing face cover;

8. Shops:
Shops are permitted to operate without any time limit.

9. Cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes:
Cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes are allowed to operate with only 50% capacity from 15th October, 2020 in adherence to the SOP issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India;

10. Entertainment parks and similar places:
Entertainment parks and similar such places will be allowed to operate from 15th October, 2020; while adhering to SOPs issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.

11. Swimming Pools:
Swimming pools will be permitted to open from 15th October 2020; only for the purpose of training and of sportspersons;

12. Parks and Gardens:
Parks and gardens will be permitted to open;

13. All religious places:
Religious places are permitted to open as per the orders issued by the State Government and SOP issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which was made effective since 8th June,2020.

14. Hotels and Restaurants:
i. Hotels and restaurants are permitted to operate as per the SOP issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare which was made effective since 8th June,2020.

ii. The hotels and restaurants will remain open till 11:00 clock at night . However, no time limit will be applicable for takeaway facility.

15. Shopping Malls:
Shopping malls are permitted to open as per and SOP issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, which was made effective since 8th June,2020

16. Libraries:
Libraries may operate with 60% capacity;
