The Gujarat Pollution Control Board (“GPCB”) has notified that all applications seeking Registration / Renewal under the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 (“Rules”) will be accepted only by online mode at https://ifp.gujarat.gov.in/DlGlGOV/ and that no physical application will be accepted.
Note: The details for obtaining User ID & password for Investor Facilitation Portal (IFP) along with the Checklist showing documents / details required along with applications seeking Registration / Renewal under the Rules is attached with the Circular.
Background:
Every producer, brand owner, importer; persons recycling or processing waste or proposing to recycle or process plastic waste; and, every manufacturer engaged in manufacturer of plastic (i.e. granules, lumps etc) to be used as raw material by the producer, are required to obtain registration or renewal of registration, from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board, under the provisions of the Rules.
The online system has now been integrated with Investor Facilitation Portal (IFP), in a manner which allows online submission of application, document submission and payment as part of State Reform Action Plan (“SRAP”) under Ease of Doing Business. In light of this, the present Circular has been issued.
