Haryana Labour Department revises Welfare Fund contribution limits; monthly employee cap raised from Rs. 31 to Rs. 34

The Labour Department of Haryana (“Department”) has revised the contribution ceiling for the Labour Welfare Fund. Now, employees are required to contribute to the Fund, on a monthly basis an amount equal to 0.2% of their salary, wages or remuneration subject to a limit of Rs. 34/- as opposed to the previous position wherein the ceiling limit was Rs. 31/-. Employers are required to contribute monthly an amount equivalent to twice the employee’s contribution.
