Jammu and Kashmir Govt. extends the COVID-19 containment measures till further Orders are notified; offices required to regulate attendance of employees so that social distancing norms are maintained

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has extended the Covid-19 containment measures till the time further Orders are notified.
Key Highlights:
• All offices are required to regulate the attendance of employees in a manner to ensure social distancing norms;
• Cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes and swimming pools shall operate with 25% capacity and the Covid Appropriate Behavior (CAB) shall be complied with;
• Inter-State Movement of passenger transport shall only be permitted if the person is vaccinated or is able to provide with a not more than 72 hours old RT-PCR or an on-spot RAT;
• All indoor gatherings may commence with only upto 25 people;
• Asymptomatic incoming passengers by Air / Rail / Road to J&K shall not require to undergo RT-PCR Test or Rapid antigen test (“RAT”) on arrival, if they are carrying :
i. If they are carrying a valid final certificate of Covid-19 vaccination
ii. If they are carrying a valid Covid-19 RTPCR -negative test report conducted within 72 hours.
The District Magistrates are required to ensure compliance with all the regulations and the individuals or institutions violating the same, must be dealt with firmly and penalized under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Disaster Management Act.
