Jammu and Kashmir Govt. extends the COVID-19 containment measures till the time further Orders are notified

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has extended the Covid-19 containment measures which shall continue to be in force till further Orders are notified.
Key Highlights:
- Night Curfew shall prevail in all districts from 9 pm to 6 am. However, in districts where the positivity rate and the weekly case load is below 0.2 and 250 respectively, the night curfew shall be from 11 pm to 6 am. Further, there shall be no weekend curfew in any district;
- There shall be complete restriction on non-essential movement in the entire UT of J&K from every Friday 2.00 pm to Monday 6.am.
- Except for the districts where the positivity rate is below 0.2 and the weekly case load is below 250, all indoor/ outdoor gathering shall commence with only 25 people;
- Cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes and swimming pools shall operate with 25% capacity and the Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) shall be complied with;
- Pregnant women employees will be exempted from physical attendance. They shall be allowed to work from home;
- Inter-State Movement of passenger transport shall only be permitted if the person is vaccinated or is able to provide with a not more than 72 hours old RT-PCR or an on-spot RAT;
- The classes for 12th and 10th standards are permitted in the educational institutions with a 50% capacity of vaccinated students and staff per day;
- Higher educational institutions shall operate subject to 100% vaccination of students and staff;
- The coaching centres for Civil Services/NEET/ Engineering shall commence with limited in-person teaching.
The District Magistrates shall ensure the compliance to all the regulations and the individuals or institutions violating the same, must be dealt with firmly and penalized under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Disaster Management Act.
