The Madhya Pradesh Labour Department has exempted all shops and commercial establishments registered under the Madhya Pradesh Shops and Establishments Act, 1958 (Act) from the requirement to renew licenses after its expiry by a notification dated 8th March, 2019.
Consequently, the fees for Registration/Renewal of licences of shops and establishments under the Act have been revised.
Hence, going forward shops and commercial establishments in Madhya Pradesh will not be required to renew licenses under the shops and establishments act after the expiry of the license period.
