MCA issues Corrigendum to an earlier Notification amending Schedule VII under the Companies Act, 2013; substitutes (DRDO) under Entry IX of the Schedule with DRDO, Department of Biotechnology

Ministry of Corporate Affairs (“MCA”) has issued a corrigendum dated 19th November, 2019 to its earlier notification dated 11th October, 2019 which had substituted the entry (ix) of Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 which deals with activities which may be included by companies in their Corporate Social Responsibility Policies.

Now through this Corrigendum, the MCA has substituted the reference to “Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)” under Entry IX of the Schedule with “Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Department of Biotechnology (DBT)”.
