The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (“MCA”) through the ‘News & Important Updates’ segment on its website has proposed to mandate Simplified Proforma for Incorporating Company Electronically (“SPICe”) as the only form for incorporation of companies’ with effect from. 26th January, 2018. The SPICe form will also have necessary provisions for incorporating Producer companies. Accordingly, it has been proposed to discontinue INC-7 for incorporation of companies. MCA has stated that a detailed notification and FAQs in this regard would be made available after SPICe form for incorporation is notified and has also advised the stakeholders to plan accordingly. We will update further as and when the said notification and FAQ is issued by MCA.
