The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (“MCA”) has rolled out the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Amendment Rules, 2020 in order to further amend the Companies (Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Rules, 2014. Additionally, Schedule VII to the Companies Act, 2013 has also been amended in order to expand the scope of activities falling under the purview of Corporate Social Responsibility under the Act.
