Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai has in a circular, dated 1st April, 2019 issued the Codified Fire Safety requirements for warehouses (not meant for storage of inflammables, explosives or chemicals) having plot area below and above 1000 square metres.
It is also stated that No-Objection Certificate from Fire Brigade Department is not required for construction of warehouse having plot area below 1000 square metres but the owner/architect/applicant will have to provide a self-certification on the same.

Annexure I: Codified Requirements for Warehouse comprising ground floored warehouse having plot area below 1000 square metres (1500 square metres built up area) which is not used for storage of inflammables, explosives or chemicals.
