In view of faster disposal of registration / renewal application in order to regulate the management of Plastic Waste in the State, the State Pollution Control Board, Odisha by an Order dated 7th October, 2020 has fixed the time limit for disposal of application for registration / renewal under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 as 60 days w.e.f. the date of receipt of online applications complete in all respect against the earlier statutory period of 90 days.
This is being done to facilitate the industries and also for overall contribution towards Business Improvement Rank of the State. Under the “State Reforms Action Plan”, a number of reform areas were identified, one of the area is registration / renewal under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016.
