The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has, in a Gazette Notification dated 8th June 2020 stated that the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority and State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Jammu and Kashmir, constituted vide Notification dated the 5th July 2019, will serve for both the Union Territories namely Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh respectively till separate Environment Impact Assessment Authority/ State Level Expert Appraisal Committee for Union Territory of Ladakh is constituted or up to the tenure of the said Environment Impact Assessment Authority / State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, whichever is earlier.
