The Labour Department of Uttar Pradesh, in a notification dated 17th September, 2019 has determined the daily rates of wages for 59 Scheduled Employments which has been released on a monthly basis for various industries including the Rubber Industry, Commercial Establishments, Private Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Private Clinics and Doctors, Cement and Asbestos Industry.
Key Highlights:
- The basic rate of wages and the variable dearness allowance have been determined on the basis of the daily rate of wages that have been released on a monthly basis.
- The average points of All India Consumer Price Index for the period January, 2019 to June, 2019 is 310.83 (which is rounded off at 311) as compared to 210 points in 2012.
- Further, the notification lays down the procedure by an illustration to calculate variable dearness allowance for the period from 01.10.2019 to 31.03.2020.
