The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India recently issued an Advisory dated May 27, 2020 regarding re-processing and re-use of eye-protection- Goggles. It states that the goggles conforming to prescribed EN/BIS specifications can be reused after proper disinfection.
The Advisory states that the purpose of this document is to enable individuals to reuse goggles used by them thus allowing an extended use without risk of contracting infection. The Advisory lays down Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to be followed for such reuse. Further, it also provides a Ratio for such use.
