Himachal Pradesh Govt, in a Notification dated 17th August, 2020 has further extended the exemptions granted to factories from certain provisions of the Factories Act such as extending the working hours in factories / paying overtime for the work for a further period of 3 months i.e. 17th November, 2020.
Background:
With the prevailing situation of lockdown, various States are extending the working hours with overtime wages (as applicable) in order to boost the manufacturing process of essential items. This exemption of extending of working hours will also help maximise the utilisation of labour.
