In a Gazette Notification dated 6th November 2020, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has published the Central Motor Vehicles (Eighteenth Amendment) Rules, 2020 to further amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989.
As per the amendment, the FASTAG will be required to be mandatorily fitted on or before 01.01.2021 for four wheeler vehicles sold before 1st December, 2017.
