In furtherance to the update shared vide the trailing email, where the Rajya Sabha had passed the Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2017 (“Bill”) ,this Bill has now received the presidential assent on January 03, 2018.
The Companies (Amendment) Act, 2017 will come into force from the date to be notified by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The amendment is primarily aimed at facilitating ease of doing business and to simplify stringent compliance requirements.
