Andhra Pradesh passes bill for ensuring employment to 75% of the local candidates in industries /factories/ Joint ventures taken up under Public-Private Partnership mode

The Labour, Employment Training and Factories Department, Andhra Pradesh (“Department”) in a Press Note has informed on the passing of the decision to pass the Andhra Pradesh Employment of Local Candidates in Industries and Factories Bill, 2019,(“Bill”) to ensure employment of 75% of local candidates in Industries/ factories, Joint Ventures and Projects taken up under the PPP mode.

The main objective of this Bill is to help the local citizens who have lost their lands and their occupations and also other  unemployed youth by ensuring that their livelihood is guaranteed and sustained.
