CBIC extends due date for filing GST Annual Return and Audit Reports for Financial Year 2017-18 in a staggered manner

Reference to the trail mail.

Central Board of Indirect and Customs Taxes (CBIC) has issued Notification No. 06/2020 dated 3rd February, 2020 to extend the due dates for filing GST Annual return in Form GSTR-9 and GST Audit Report in Form GSTR-9C pertaining to Financial Year 2017-18 in a staggered manner for different groups of states against the earlier due date of 31st day of January, 2020. Now, the due date for filing of such returns for the taxpayers shall be as per the details mentioned in the below table:

Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand,  Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, West Bengal, Other Territory 7th February, 2020

**Please note, that the extended due date for filing of GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C for Financial Year 2017-18 as mentioned in the above Notification is different from that circulated in official tweet by CBIC.
