The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, Ministry of Labour and Employment (“EPFO”), through a flash alert on their website have informed about online registration of establishments under the Employees’ Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (“Act”), through the Shram Suvidha Portal.

EPFO has informed that under the online process of registration:

1. No  registration fee will be required;
2. No visit at the EPFO office will be required; and
3. No physical documents will be required to be submitted.

After registration, the employer will receive the username and password digitally, which can be used by the employer to log in for future compliances under the Act.
