In a Notification dated 17th February, 2020 the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (“EPFO”) has informed that the EPFO e- Court Management System (“system”) will be linked with the EPFO unified portal within the next 2-3 months so that the notices and orders are directly placed in the user login of the employers thereby making the documents more accessible.
Background:
The system was launched in May, 2017 introducing paperless quasi-judicial proceedings in EPFO and to bring transparency and e-monitor such quasi-judicial proceedings. The system was introduced in order to enable all parties to file their documents online and access the proceeding status which were simultaneously recorded in order to enable the parties to view everything online.
The EPFO has further directed its offices to ensure that the administrative structure is appropriately put up so that monitoring of all pending cases can be done online.
