If Yes, here’s what you need to do if you have not yet submitted your Internal Committee’s Annual Report for the year 2019.
You must e-mail the Internal Committee’s Annual Report for the year 2019 to the District Officer, Mumbai city on dwcdmumbai@gmail.com maximum by 14th August, 2020 evening. The prescribed format in which the Report must be submitted is given in the Order itself.
Applicability:
In an Order dated 10th July, 2020, the District Women and Child Development Office, Mumbai City has directed all establishments coming under the Mumbai City jurisdiction including private establishments, educational Institutions, sports institutes, sport complexes, government and private companies in Mumbai City Jurisdiction Only which have not already submitted their Internal Committee’s Annual Report to District Women and Child Development Office or Collector Office, Mumbai City to comply with this Order.
Background:
Section 21 read with Rule 14 of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) and Rule mandate the Internal Committee in each calendar year to prepare an Annual report and submit the same to the employer and the District Officer. Non-submission of Internal Committee’s Annual Report leads to non-compliance of POSH Act which attracts a penalty of Rs. 50,000 or double the sum and/or cancellation of business license.
