Factories in Telangana must submit online self-certification/ third party certification for availing exemptions from certain provisions of the Factories Act and Rules

With a view to enable Ease of Doing business and to simplify and minimize the regulatory compliance burden, the Labour, Employment, Training & Factories Department, Telangana Government has in an Notification decided to grant exemption from the applicability of certain provisions under Factories Act 1948 and Telangana Factories Rules 1950. These exemptions will be granted subject to the occupier submitting self-certification/third party certification online  in respect of factories falling under the jurisdiction of State of Telangana.

On receipt of self-certification/third party certification from the occupiers, factories will be deemed to have complied with provisions mentioned in the annexure that include compliances in the nature of –

  • Return filing & statutory reporting
  • Inspection, examination & audits (there will be no inspection/verification of these factories except in case of complaints and accidents)
  • Maintaining registers and records
  • Display requirement
  • Providing employee safety & welfare
  • Appointment of officers
  • Maintenance of equipment
  • Maintaining hygiene & cleanliness
  • Providing general facilities
