In an Order dated 28th September, 2020 the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (“FSSAI”) has issued a direction regarding re-operationalisation of Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Business) Amendment Regulations, 2020 (“Regulations”). The Draft Regulations were initially operationalized with effect from 27.03.2020.
Since the Draft Regulations are in the process of being notified, the Food Business Operators are advised to follow the revised Regulations only after the is notified in the Gazette of India.
